AI that does the dull parts of purchasing
Vendoro uses AI where purchasing is slow: staff dictate orders while walking the supply room, deliveries are received from a photo of the packing slip, invoices are read from PDFs and photos, GL coding is suggested from past invoices, and anyone with access can ask plain-English questions of the spend data.
What the AI does today
| Feature | What it does |
|---|---|
| Voice ordering | Say what is needed; AI turns speech into catalog lines in the cart. |
| Packing-slip scan | A phone photo of the slip is matched to the purchase order. |
| Invoice reading | PDFs and photos are read, credit memos detected, and the original kept beside the fields. |
| GL coding suggestions | Suggested from past coding first; a person accepts each one. |
| Ask AI reports | Plain-English questions become a guarded, read-only query, and the query is shown. |
| Upload mapping | CSV and Excel files are matched to catalog fields; rows that fail are kept to fix. |
Frequently asked questions
Does AI approve anything on its own?
No. AI suggests GL codes and reads documents; people approve. Auto-approval applies only to clean matches under a limit you set.
Can Ask AI change data?
No. Questions become read-only queries, and the query is shown with the answer.
